Registered Nurse - Outpatient Radiology (Part-Time)

About the role

Mayo Clinic is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse to provide coordinated nursing care in the Outpatient Radiology department. The RN will deliver direct patient care, educate patients and families, and support smooth transitions across the care continuum.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver nursing care for outpatient radiology patients.
• Provide patient and family education and facilitate care transitions.
• Function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating nursing care.
• Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and participate in quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Delegate tasks based on skill level, patient acuity, and resource availability.
• Participate in committees, projects, and occasional use of a personal vehicle for work‑related duties.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Entry‑level RN with a baccalaureate degree in nursing (or documentation of degree completion within required timeframe).
• One year of RN experience in a relevant setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
