Registered Nurse - Outpatient Radiology

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care in the Outpatient Radiology department at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. This position focuses on direct patient care, education, and coordination of care across the continuum, ensuring a patient‑first experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
• Apply the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model to plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate nursing care.
• Delegate tasks based on skill level, patient acuity, and resource availability.
• Serve as a preceptor and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in committees or projects as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
• Associate degree RN must have completed a baccalaureate degree within five years of start date.
• One year of RN experience in a relevant setting (or LPN experience at Mayo Clinic) preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic medical record systems.
