Registered Nurse – Outpatient Cardiology Clinic (Full‑time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System’s Out‑Patient Cardiology Clinic is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to deliver patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced outpatient environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and monitor vital signs.
• Report symptoms, changes in condition, and modify treatment plans per physician orders.
• Review and evaluate diagnostic tests, and consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and cultural factors.
• Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Perform patient tests, safely administer medications, and maintain accurate medication records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team in compliance with HIPAA.
• Assist with discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, offering guidance and feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant nursing field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license (additional certifications as required by the department).
