Registered Nurse – Operating Room (RN2)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN2) to work in the Operating Room at UHealth SoLé Mia. This full‑time position involves delivering high‑quality patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting surgical procedures in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses and physician orders.
• Review and evaluate diagnostic tests, consulting with physicians as needed.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Safely operate medical equipment and serve as a preceptor for new staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care methods, and health‑safety guidelines.
