Registered Nurse – Oncology (Night Shift)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 5N Oncology Unit at Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach. This PRN night‑shift position provides direct care to oncology patients and their families, offering flexible scheduling to accommodate personal needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions throughout the shift.
• Administer prescribed medications, chemotherapy, and other treatments.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Assess discharge needs and coordinate patient transitions.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment protocols.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.
• Completion of an ONS Chemo/Bio course within two years of hire if assigned to chemo‑administering units.
