Registered Nurse – Med/Surg & Orthopaedic (Night Shift)

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital’s 5th Floor Complex Medical Care unit, a Magnet‑recognized facility delivering peri‑operative and post‑operative care to medical‑surgical and orthopaedic patients. The unit provides telemetry and continuous cardiac monitoring for adult non‑ICU patients. As a night‑shift RN you will deliver direct, compassionate care and educate patients and families throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to med‑surg and orthopaedic patients.
• Develop, monitor, and update individualized patient care plans.
• Record, document, and communicate patient conditions and assessments.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
• Coordinate discharge planning and educate patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum one year of acute‑care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
