Registered Nurse – Med/Surg & Observation Unit

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to work on a combined 41‑bed Medical‑Surgical and Observation unit. The position is night‑shift (7:00 pm‑7:30 am) and provides direct patient care in a fast‑paced, acute‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and document patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to approved protocols and follow physician and nursing orders.
• Assess patients, coordinate discharge planning, and educate patients and families.
• Maintain safety standards, use personal protective equipment, and report workplace incidents.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience (military RN experience considered).
• Physical ability to lift patients, stand for long periods, and work under stressful conditions.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• RN licensure and competency in acute‑care nursing procedures.
