Registered Nurse – Medical Specialty Care Center (Full‑time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join its Medical Specialty Care Center. The RN will provide patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent, evidence‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and operate relevant medical equipment.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care using available resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.

Required skills

• Medication administration.
