Registered Nurse Med Surg with Telemetry Nights

About the role

AdventHealth North Pinellas is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for medical-surgical care with telemetry nights. The shift is night and weekend, based in Tarpon Springs, Florida. The pay range is $31.85 to $52.76.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing and revising them regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care provided by other team members.
• Respond promptly to code situations and provide stabilizing interventions.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing).
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification and ACLS certification (both required).
• Ability to read EKGs (requirements listed separately).
