Registered Nurse ICU - Seasonal Night Shift

About the role

AdventHealth North Pinellas is hiring a Registered Nurse for its ICU Medical unit on seasonal nights. The schedule is PRN, with a minimum of 36 hours per week and every other weekend, and the pay is $55 per hour plus night and weekend shift differentials.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans as needed
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications and self-care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Perform accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1+ year of ICU experience (required)
• Registered Nurse license (required)
• BLS/CPR certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Ability to pass a baseline telemetry test within 5 business days, within 2 attempts
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing

• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise care plans
• Leadership, multi-tasking and effective communication
• Preferred: Cerner, EPIC and previous EKG interpretation class
