Registered Nurse - Med Surg Tele - Regional Float Pool

About the role

AdventHealth in Denver is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Med Surg Tele regional float pool, working night shifts. The position is open to eligible clinicians and offers a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• EKG and advanced life support requirements apply depending on the patient (see the EKG and ALS requirements document).

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• Teamwork within a unit, with strong verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
