Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Full-Time Days)

About the role

AdventHealth in Littleton, Colorado is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Med Surg unit on day shifts. The role covers assessment, care planning, medication administration, patient education and collaboration with the medical team. Eligible RNs can earn up to 20% salary increases through a voluntary Clinical Ladder Program.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing them regularly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and monitor for adverse reactions
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and outcomes
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety and regulatory requirements
• Provide emotional support and supervise and delegate care to the healthcare team
• Respond promptly to code situations and take part in performance improvement activities

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor's degree preferred, Associate's degree required
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing)
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required
