About the role

Join Ochsner’s Medical‑Surgical unit on Jeff Highway as a full‑time Registered Nurse. You will provide compassionate, high‑quality patient care while collaborating with a diverse, inclusive team.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence‑based patient care.
Assess learning needs and implement patient, family, and interdisciplinary education.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to achieve optimal outcomes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Ability to exercise good judgment and make clinical decisions.
