Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (Full‑Time)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Interventional Radiology team on Jefferson Hwy. The position works a rotating 5‑on/2‑off schedule, 6:00 am‑6:30 pm, providing direct patient care and leadership within the unit.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care in the interventional radiology setting.
• Assess patient learning needs, provide education, and adapt communication to diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
• Delegate, direct, and collaborate with licensed and ancillary team members, acting as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and Ochsner’s policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior work experience required; new graduates are welcome.

Required skills

• Clinical knowledge of interventional radiology procedures.
• Ability to organize, manage time, and work independently.
• Good judgment and interpersonal communication skills.
