Registered Nurse - ICU, Regional Float Pool (Night)

About the role

AdventHealth in Denver is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its ICU regional float pool, working the night shift. The position is open to eligible clinicians and offers a clinical ladder program with salary increases of up to 20% based on experience, professional development and achievement of advancement criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing and revising them regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required).
• 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Ability to work as a team player within a unit.

Required skills

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
• EKG (based on patient; see the EKG and Advanced Life Support requirements document).
