About the role

The Gynecologic Oncology Clinic at Ochsner Health is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to lead patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold the highest standards of professional practice.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence‑based patient care.
Assess patient and family learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
Use data and clinical knowledge to evaluate outcomes and drive improvements.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

Clinical nursing skills including patient assessment and care planning.
Ability to delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members.
Leadership and interpersonal skills to work within a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
