About the role

The Float Pool RN provides direct, high‑quality nursing care across multiple units and departments at Indian River Hospital on the Treasure Coast of Florida. Working nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, you will support diverse patient populations while gaining broad clinical experience.

Key responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document, and communicate patient conditions.
Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient discharge needs.
Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
At least one year of acute‑care RN experience in a hospital setting or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale certification.
