About the role

The Float Pool Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care across multiple units during night shifts, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient outcomes while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, coordinating with physicians and team members.
Deliver patient and family education throughout the treatment course to support transitions of care.
Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
Perform validated technical skills specific to each clinical specialty and unit.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage patient assignments effectively.
Successful completion of unit‑specific orientation and competency assessments.
Physical ability to lift/carry 40‑50 lb and stand/walk for extended periods.

Required skills

Basic computer skills.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (Pennsylvania).
