Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Evening Shift)

About the role

The Emergency Department at Indian River Hospital seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality, compassionate care during the evening shift (7:00 PM – 3:30 AM). You will work with a multidisciplinary team and state‑of‑the‑art technology to support patients throughout their emergency visit.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care, implement and update patient care plans, and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications, perform treatments, and execute physician and nursing orders.
• Assess discharge needs, educate patients and families, and document all care activities accurately.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) with current RN licensure in Florida.
• At least one year of acute care or Emergency Department experience (military RN experience considered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year of hire.
