About the role
Provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department on an evening shift, delivering assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in accordance with LVHN policies.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Educate patients and families throughout the treatment course and support smooth transitions of care.
- Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
- Perform validated technical skills specific to the emergency department and utilize technology to optimize care delivery.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Ability to organize, prioritize assignments and maintain unit‑specific competencies.
- Successful completion of specialty orientation and basic computer proficiency.
Required skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
- Basic computer skills for documentation and technology use.
- Physical ability to lift/carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk for long periods and perform patient transfers.
