Generalist OB‑GYN Physician

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Generalist OB‑GYN physician to join its extensive obstetrics and gynecology enterprise across southeastern Pennsylvania. The role involves delivering comprehensive women’s health care in both hospital and outpatient settings while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient obstetric care at Family Birth and Newborn Centers in Cedar Crest and Muhlenberg, including management of high‑risk pregnancies alongside maternal‑fetal medicine specialists.
• Collaborate daily with midwives, OB‑GYN hospitalists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pediatric specialists in a Level IV NICU environment.
• Serve as primary teaching faculty for OB‑GYN residents and medical students, supporting education and clinical research initiatives.
• Participate in quality‑improvement projects, patient safety programs, and healthcare administration activities.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or Board‑certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Current PA medical license (or ability to obtain one) – new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Commitment to teamwork, compassionate patient care, and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in obstetric and gynecologic procedures, including minimally invasive surgery.
• Experience with newborn care in a Level IV NICU setting.
