Registered Nurse – Day Surgery Center (Various Shifts)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Day of Surgery Center on Jefferson Highway. The RN will provide patient‑centered care across various shifts, acting as a leader on the interdisciplinary team and ensuring high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families, adapting teaching strategies to diverse cultural and linguistic needs.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal clinical results and support unit strategic goals.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certification in a clinical specialty area is preferred but not required.
