Registered Nurse – Day Surgery Center

About the role

The Day Surgery Center on Jefferson Highway seeks a Registered Nurse to lead patient care using the nursing process. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring high-quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, effective patient care.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Use data and evidence to drive improvements and achieve optimal clinical results.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse patient populations.
• Commitment to professional responsibility, cultural sensitivity, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice.
