Registered Nurse - Concierge, Full Time Days

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring a full-time day-shift Registered Nurse (RN) in its nursing services. The RN provides patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients, planning, directing and evaluating nursing care with a holistic view of physical, developmental, emotional, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and functional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care and follow established nursing objectives, standards, policies and procedures.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments to establish a baseline and adjust care to changing patient needs.
• Develop a standard of care and evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing plan of care.
• Ensure accurate documentation, adequate supplies and knowledge of equipment operation.
• Act as educator to peers, patients and their families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• NIHSS training available through various organizations and learning systems.
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, including pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs; the job can be physically demanding.
• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, and TB/PPD surveillance program.
