Registered Nurse – Children’s Specialty Float Pool

About the role
Provide professional nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple specialty units in a float pool setting. Deliver comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, ensuring safety and quality.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team; provide education throughout the treatment course.
- Participate in performance improvement, evidence‑based practice, and research projects.
- Teach and mentor new colleagues and interns; delegate tasks based on skill and patient acuity.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage patient assignments.
- Successful completion of orientation programs and maintenance of unit‑specific competencies.
Required skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
- Basic computer skills.
