Registered Nurse – Chemotherapy Infusion (Specialty)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized chemotherapy infusion care. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence‑based treatment to oncology patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Review and report diagnostic test results to evaluate patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and operate medical equipment.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinate resources for patient transition.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and guidance.
• Adhere to university and unit policies, safeguarding assets.

Required profile

• Current RN license in Florida.
• Experience in oncology or chemotherapy infusion preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and compassionate care.
