Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit on the Main Campus. You will provide direct patient care in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment supporting complex cardiac cases.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, monitor and record patient conditions, and communicate updates to the care team.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, administer medications, and coordinate discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families, ensuring understanding of care instructions and cultural considerations.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Current state RN licensure and at least one year of acute‑care nursing experience.
• Ability to work independently in a stressful, fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtain within one year).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as applicable.
