Registered Nurse – Additional Care Unit (Telemetry)

About the role

Join the Cleveland Clinic Health System at Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, Florida, as a Registered Nurse on the 3E Additional Care/Telemetry Overflow Unit. This night‑shift position (7:00 pm – 7:00 am) provides direct care to cardiac patients and supports a collaborative, patient‑focused team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and execute physician and nursing orders.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patients’ conditions, including heart rhythm telemetry.
• Develop, update, and evaluate patient care plans and coordinate discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post‑discharge care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current state RN licensure and BLS certification.
• At least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (preferred).
