Registered Nurse 2 – UHealth Sole Mia

About the role

The University of Miami’s UHealth Sole Mia facility is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse 2 to deliver patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent environment. The RN will work closely with physicians and allied health staff to ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based treatment for diverse patient populations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Review diagnostic tests, report findings, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and adhere to regulatory guidelines such as HIPAA.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members, and support discharge planning.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and guidance.
• Adapt to changing work demands, operate medical equipment safely, and follow university policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Required skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Florida RN licensure.
