Registered Nurse 2 – Primary Care (North Miami)

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth Primary Care clinic in North Miami is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse 2. You will provide direct patient care, support clinical teams, and ensure high‑quality nursing documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while respecting age and cultural considerations.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and follow regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care using available resources.
• Operate medical equipment and adhere to university and unit policies.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum two years of relevant nursing experience.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clinical teams.
