Registered Nurse 2 – Imaging Specialty (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Registered Nurse 2 delivers patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent manner, using evidence‑based standards of quality, safety, and service. This role also oversees nurses and allied health staff within the imaging department.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, report symptoms, and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic tests to assess patient condition.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and culture.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate medication records in compliance with regulations.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and guidance.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN graduates must complete BSN within 2 years).
• Valid Florida RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care methods, and health‑safety guidelines.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with medical terminology.
• Ability to operate medical equipment safely.
