Registered EEG Technician

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Registered EEG Technician to join the Epilepsy Unit. You will set up, perform, and monitor EEG tests for adult and pediatric patients during night shifts, contributing to world‑class patient care and research.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate EEG recording equipment, including surface and invasive electrodes.
• Perform long‑term monitoring of patients using closed‑circuit and digital audio/visual systems.
• Assist physicians with EEG interpretation and clinical seizure analysis.
• Maintain accurate patient logs, billing information, and documentation for research protocols.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related field.
• Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEG.T) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of recent experience in epilepsy long‑term monitoring.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EEG instrumentation and electrode placement.
• Knowledge of long‑term epilepsy monitoring techniques.
• Ability to operate heavy EEG machines and maintain precise manual dexterity.
• Standard precautions and use of personal protective equipment.
