Registered Echocardiography Technologist (Full-Time Days)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Registered Echocardiography Technologist for a full-time day shift in Parker, Colorado. The technologist performs echocardiograms and specialized cardiac imaging under physician orders, troubleshoots equipment issues and works closely with patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate and thorough echocardiograms as ordered by physicians
• Conduct specialized testing with computer-assisted devices, including TEE, stress echo, pharmacological stress echo, EKGs, treadmill tests and Holter monitors
• Troubleshoot and correct recording instrument malfunctions or patient problems that interfere with recordings
• Maintain and review equipment, ensuring proper function and calibration
• Process patient and department records so tests are documented according to hospital standards
• Adjust communication to match patient and family understanding of test procedures
• Provide on-call coverage outside regular hours and take part in CQI, in-services, education and at least 80% of staff meetings

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent (associate's degree preferred)
• 1+ year of cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required
• One of the following credentials required: RCDS, RVS, RCS or RVT

Pay range: $32.85 - $61.10.
