Registered Dietitian – Diabetes Care & Education Specialist

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital seeks a Registered Dietitian to lead its diabetes education program. You will provide nutrition therapy, education, and support to patients with diabetes and obesity, collaborating closely with the Endocrinology team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver medical nutrition therapy and diabetes self‑management education to assigned patient populations.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and document encounters in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with Endocrinology providers to ensure safe medication use and patient safety.
• Develop and present education materials for clinicians, patients, and the public, and support program development and revenue generation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, Nursing, Pharmacy or related field.
• Current Ohio license to practice dietetics or nursing; dietitians must have completed a credentialed internship and hold active certification.
• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) by hire or within two years.
• At least one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian, Registered Nurse, or Pharmacist.

Required skills

• Use of diabetes and weight‑management technology for assessment and outcome tracking.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation.
• Application of national standards and ADCES7 Self‑Care Behaviors.
