About the role
The Registered Dental Assistant will support the dentist in patient examinations and treatments at the Colusa Indian Dental Clinic. This full‑time position requires adherence to the clinic’s mission and values.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare patients, sterilize instruments, set up trays, and assist during dental procedures.
- Take and record medical/dental histories, vital signs, and expose diagnostic x‑rays.
- Make preliminary impressions, pour and polish study casts, and fabricate temporary restorations.
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene, provide postoperative instructions, and maintain accurate patient records.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three months of related experience.
- Current Registered Dental Assistant license.
- Current radiograph certification with the State of California.
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification.
- Bilingual ability is highly desirable.
Required skills
- Dental instrument preparation and sterilization.
- Dental radiography operation.
- CPR and First Aid response.
