Regional Property Claims Manager (NYC)

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Regional Property Claims Manager based in New York City, working remotely. The primary purpose of the role is to create profitable growth by acquiring and maintaining new and existing client relationships and increasing market presence through superior, innovative and personalized service.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual business plans and deliver profitable growth against the operating revenues and earnings budget using Sedgwick's business processes.
• Generate and establish talent, management and financial control plans to secure the region's performance.
• Oversee the assigned property and casualty staff so the branch operates efficiently.
• Facilitate communication between internal and external customers and monitor work product for validity and accuracy.
• Create and maintain an environment of customer and colleague satisfaction.
• Support the organization's quality programs, travel as required and perform other duties as assigned.
• Supervise colleagues: administer personnel policies, interview and hire, set performance development plans, hold performance discussions and provide leadership and motivation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Eight years of related experience, including technical multi-line insurance claims adjusting and people leadership experience.
• Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.

Required skills

• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Analytical, interpretive and organizational skills, strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, and teamwork ability.
