Regional Procurement Manager - Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Gerdau is seeking a Regional Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategy at its Midlothian, Texas mill. The role drives cost savings, supplier performance, operational excellence and team development, partnering with operations, finance, engineering and executive leadership to optimise total cost of ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SPOT procurement operations for indirect materials, services and all commodities
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier partnerships
• Drive cost reduction, working capital improvement and supply continuity
• Manage contracts, supplier performance, quality and risk mitigation
• Lead, mentor and develop a procurement team of 6
• Collaborate across departments to support operational and financial objectives

Required profile

• Four-year degree in Business, Engineering or Economics
• 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in manufacturing, including 2 years of supervisory experience
• Expertise in sourcing, negotiations, supplier management and category strategies
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• CPSM, CPM or related certification preferred
• Willingness to travel 10-20%
