Regional Field Operations Analyst

About the role

The Regional Field Operations Analyst supports 3m’s manufacturing and distribution network by ensuring efficient material flow and transportation services across the United States. You will work with cross‑functional teams to address operational issues, improve service levels, and drive cost‑effective logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop production plans, conduct risk assessments and perform warehouse audits.
• Lead projects that enable just‑in‑time material flow from purchase to finished product.
• Provide first‑line support for ocean shipping inquiries, drayage, and trucking operations for USAC plants.
• Capture demand signals from plants and consolidation centers to support container booking and capacity forecasting.
• Assist with short‑ and medium‑term volume forecasting and monitor first‑leg KPIs.
• Support carrier escalations, pool management coordination, and OSD processing.
• Maintain accurate records in ERP, WMS and TMS systems and ensure data integrity.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives targeting cost reduction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university.
• At least 4 years of supply‑chain experience.
• Experience with ocean or air freight, and with trucking or drayage operations.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Ability to perform statistical analysis on routing and distribution data.
