Regional Engineer - Radio Broadcast

About the role

iHeartMedia Markets is hiring a Regional Engineer in Las Vegas to help ensure the reliability, quality and performance of its radio and digital broadcast operations across multiple markets. The role maintains, troubleshoots and supports broadcast, RF and IT systems that keep stations on the air, working closely with programming, sales and senior leadership. On-call availability, off-hours work and occasional travel are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain digital broadcasting electronic systems and equipment for optimal transmission and broadcast performance
• Maintain traditional radio and digital broadcast equipment, including RF switchers, transmitters, transceivers, studio consoles and audio gear
• Respond to equipment outages, malfunctions and related technical problems
• Run routine diagnostic tests and repair and replace broadcast equipment
• Help clients, technicians and service staff install, train on and support software, hardware and peripherals such as file servers, workstations, networking switches, NICs, KVMs and radio equipment
• Document maintenance, repairs and replacements, and choose test equipment, parts and tools
• Install, maintain and support desktop computers for internal users and company-owned sites in the market
• Travel periodically to other iHeartMedia locations for installation or troubleshooting
• Work nights and weekends on call, available 24/7

Required profile

• Previous radio broadcast experience is required
• Associate degree or higher in a technical field, or equivalent experience
• SBE certification is a plus
• Able to climb ladders, work in small spaces and lift 50 pounds
• Valid state driver's license and an excellent driving record
