About the role

Join the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute’s new state‑of‑the‑art facility as a Refrigeration HVAC Technician II. You will work evenings to ensure the building’s complex refrigeration and HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently for critical neurological care.

Key responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including walk‑in coolers, medical chillers, cryogenic freezers, and rooftop units.
Repair refrigerant leaks, evacuate and adjust refrigerant charges, and troubleshoot electrical/electronic controls, microprocessors, and system alarms.

Required profile

High school diploma or GED and an Ohio EPA‑approved certificate for Type I, Type II, or Universal refrigerant systems.
At least three years of experience as a commercial/residential air‑conditioning refrigeration technician; military experience in related fields is a plus.

Required skills

Refrigeration and air‑conditioning system troubleshooting and repair.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
