Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator

About the role

DMI is looking for a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) System Administrator to join its Operations team at the Fort Knox location. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing RHEL environments that support government and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and resolve performance and compliance issues on RHEL servers.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, apply patches, and support hardware upgrades.
• Assist with audit trail analysis and enforce government security policies.
• Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and vendors to address technical problems.
• Provide support to the Information Assurance team and perform general IT administration tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a RHEL System Administrator.
• U.S. citizenship with an active Secret security clearance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 lb.

Required skills

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• RHCSA (7.x) certification.
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite and Ansible.
• Knowledge of VMware and middleware platforms.
