Receiving Supervisor

About the role

Assurant is looking for a Receiving Supervisor for its onsite DFW facility in Irving, Texas. The supervisor oversees employees, prepares work schedules, assigns tasks, coordinates the flow of work and projects, monitors team performance and ensures adherence to company policies and process standards. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the team, oversee training of new and existing staff, and act as liaison between teams, shifts, supervisors, departments and vendor/customer representatives
• Help set department and company goals, drive process improvements and coordinate new product introductions
• Handle hiring, performance reviews, mentoring, coaching and disciplinary actions, and run monthly one-on-one check-ins
• Manage the team training matrix, review Tableau reports and drive engagement
• Implement production, productivity and quality standards, control production expenses and complete daily shift production reports on time
• Follow safety and health standards and comply with legal regulations
• Work with the manager to review the Peakon score and create action plans, and help resolve problems and identify improvements

Required profile

• HS Diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of experience in small electronics repair
• At least 3 years in a leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing or repair environment similar to Assurant, York, Lewisville or Tennessee facilities
• Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving or related environment
• Demonstrated direct supervision and coaching experience
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work across multiple shifts; may be required to work across shifts

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to identify process and workflow improvements
• Helpful: Associate's degree, 3+ years in mobile device repair, 3+ years supervising 15+ hourly associates, understanding of Lean and Six Sigma

Pay range: $56,200 to $94,100 per year.
