Real Estate Analyst

About the role

Circle K is hiring a Real Estate Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina. The analyst works with the Real Estate Development Manager and Operations to support site selection, deal evaluation and investment recommendations, and may travel across the United States and Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the Management Approval Package (MAP) with preliminary site plans, deal economics, construction estimates and financial models.
• Analyze return on investment metrics of projects and provide investment recommendations.
• Tailor existing financial models to new business case scenarios.
• Research potential acquisition opportunities, including ownership traffic, competition intrusion and comparable sales, and monitor competitors' growth plans.
• Manage documents and key dates in Smartsheet and use reporting tools.
• Shadow Real Estate Development Managers to learn site selection, contract negotiation and the development process.
• Contribute to Financial and Key Result Area targets and attend professional development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance or a related field preferred, with experience in project management, commercial real estate analysis and market research.
• Other combinations of experience and education meeting the minimum requirements may be accepted.
• Strong communication, analytical and attention-to-detail skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and occasional long hours, weekends and overnight work.

Required skills

• Financial modeling and projecting experience strongly preferred.
• Computer literacy in MS Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI and strong Excel proficiency.
• Prior experience with Smartsheet or another ERP system preferred.
• Ability to learn and use GIS and desktop mapping software such as Google Earth or Kalibrate.
