Radiology Technologist – Surgery

About the role

The Radiology Technologist – Surgery provides imaging services for surgical and emergency patients at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. This PRN position works variable day or night shifts, supporting a wide range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform radiology exams and fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages, including trauma, vascular, orthopedic, cardiac, GI, GU, neuro, and pediatric cases.
• Operate x‑ray and fluoroscopy equipment to obtain high‑quality images while minimizing radiation dose.
• Assist radiologists, physicians, and surgeons during procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare patients, provide instructions, and manage scheduling and prioritization of cases.
• Document technical data accurately, manage image acquisition, archiving, transmission, and printing via PACS, and handle billing through RIS.
• Mentor new hires and radiology students and rotate through various imaging modalities as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ARRT certification and state licensure.
