About the role

The Radiology Nurse provides direct patient care in the radiology department, applying the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. This full‑time position supports Ochsner’s mission to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
Use data and evidence‑based practice to promote optimal outcomes and drive change.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
No prior experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
