Radiologic Technologist – Night Shift (Tue‑Thu, 3 × 12 h)

About the role

Ochsner is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to work night shifts on Tuesday‑Thursday, three 12‑hour shifts per week. The technologist will assess patients and safely perform routine radiographic procedures while serving as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and ensure accurate procedure selection.
• Operate radiography equipment independently, including placement of tubes, IVs, and administration of contrast as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission and perform quality‑control checks.
• Utilize the Radiology Information System (RIS) to document care and facilitate workflow.
• Assist with departmental operations such as inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration (or eligibility) within 90 days of hire and a current unrestricted state license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and travel between facilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with radiography equipment and imaging protocols.
• Experience using Radiology Information Systems and other computer‑based applications.
