Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic Imaging

About the role

This role assesses patients and safely performs routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols. The technologist also serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Use radiology information systems to facilitate patient care.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients and obtain consent.
• Operate radiographic equipment, including placement of tubes, IVs, catheters, and administration of contrast.
• Review images before transmission to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Perform timely quality‑control checks and address any deficiencies.
• Assist with departmental operations such as inventory, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Adapt communication style to respect patient privacy and cultural needs.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Current unrestricted state license for radiologic practice.
• ARRT registration or eligibility within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on‑call availability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with radiographic equipment operation.
• Experience using radiology information systems and related software.
• Strong computer and web‑based application skills.
