Radiation Therapist I

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Health System at Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, Florida, as a Radiation Therapist I. You will deliver therapeutic radiation treatments to cancer patients, working with state‑of‑the‑art equipment in a collaborative, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide radiation therapy as prescribed by physicians, collaborating with dosimetrists to determine treatment plans.
• Position patients, select anatomic/technical parameters, and operate linear accelerators and related equipment.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, report adverse reactions, and educate patients according to department protocols.
• Maintain equipment safety, perform quality checks, and adhere to radiation safety procedures.

Required profile

• Graduate of a CAHEA‑approved Radiation Therapy program or ARRT‑certified Registered Radiation Therapist in good standing.
• Current state licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with radiation oncology and electronic medical records.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 lb, push/pull over 100 lb, and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• External Radiation Therapy, IMRT, IGRT, and CT Simulation.
• Operation of linear accelerators and related radiation equipment.
• ARRT certification (R.T.) and state licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
