Quality Systems Manager – Drive QMS Excellence

About the role

The Quality Systems Manager leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), currently IATF 16949. This role partners with manufacturing, engineering, and supply‑chain teams to ensure product and process quality across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve QMS procedures, forms, and control plans, collaborating with the IATF team.
• Lead root‑cause investigations using 8D, Practical Problem Solving, and other methodologies for internal and external audit findings.
• Utilize dFMEA and pFMEA to identify risks, define critical control points, and implement error‑proofing (poka‑yoke) solutions.
• Manage gauge systems, driving cost reductions in acquisition, maintenance, and calibration.
• Provide leadership and training for quality auditors and support customer‑related quality issues.

Required profile

• Experience in a fabrication, machining, or assembly environment with hands‑on process improvement.
• Demonstrated knowledge of IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Strong statistical background and Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
