Quality Specialist

About the role

The Quality Specialist will be embedded within the manufacturing process to manage the Materials Review Board (MRB) and drive resolution of non‑conforming materials. This role ensures accurate data collection, supports root‑cause analysis, and communicates quality performance to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the site MRB process, including data entry, weekly metric reporting, and vendor return material authorizations.
• Lead containment activities for non‑conforming items, conduct inspections, and verify corrective actions.
• Support engineering teams with triage, non‑conformance dispositions, and root‑cause investigations.
• Create and train on inspection plans for incoming material, in‑process, and end‑of‑line inspections.
• Develop and implement quality assurance policies, conduct internal audits, and propose continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent with 5+ years of manufacturing or quality/engineering experience.
• Experience in a hardware development environment and familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, or IATF16949 QMS standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software and inspection data management tools.
• Hands‑on experience with calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, Faro arm, OMM).
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and investigative equipment such as x‑ray inspection.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems (Jira, MES, ERP, Teamcenter).
